The protagonist in The London Daughter is fighting a lonely battle. When reality becomes too painful to live in, she takes refuge in fantasy. There she finds meaning, feels free and is able to rest. It starts as an innocent lie in the break room at work but soon becomes a story that takes on a life of its own. After a while, she begins to believe in it herself.
