The film was shot on 16mm in the town of Ystad where Sture Dahlström played one of the main characters. He also did the voice-over on the film which tells the story of how a bunch of strange men with bass fiddles suddenly float ashore and how they invade the city with their buzzing sounds. The locals, who initially are patient with the new residents, are eventually fed up. A film entirely in the surreal spirit of Dahlström.
It was filmed in the autumn of 1967, but not completed at the time. Sture then wrote the story as a short story and published it in one of his collections. The short story became the starting point for the editing of the material into a finished film. It has now been digitally scanned and restored (2023).
