An old man is lying in a lounge chair. Two persons with big, paw-like gloves take off his socks. They pull up his trousers and synchronously caress every foot slowly: upwards, upwards and then down and in between the toes. They open up his shirt and caress his chest, hands and face with the fur gloves. In Your Hands has developed from a situation when the artist’s father had to move into a home for elderly with dementia. He felt comfortable there, in terms of human company, but he was constantly worried about his animals. All of his life, he had taken care of animals, and the absence of them made him confused. One day Strömbeck brought a piece of fur that she caressed his hands with and immediately he calmed down.
