Born 1981 in Keflavik, Iceland. Lives and works in Malmö, Sweden. I compose music and develop female characters based on personal experiences enacted in front of a video camera. It is a form of audiovisual narrative that both demands and attracts wholehearted attention. My method is to objectify the female body without degrading it to the status of a mere object. The characters are set into a void space to which a possible reference is the dark room of a theatre. In the postproduction digitally manipulated video images are amplified with a motif usually played on piano. This method allows the work to communicate what I intend it to: self and body as experienced in a context where existence is challenged or threatened.
