Tilda Lovell lives and work in Stockholm and Berlin. Lovell works in various media including sculpture, installation, animation and drawing. Through intuitive gathering and assembling of fragments and objects from nature and society, Lovell reanimates dead matter into new sculptures and scenes that reflects the metamorphic existence in life and beyond.
Lovell has had solo shows at e.g. Stenasalen, Gothenburg Artmuseum, Norrtälje konsthall, Krognoshuset, Lund and several shows at Lars Bohman gallery in Stockholm, by which she is represented since 2005. She participated in group shows at Bonniers konsthall, Malmö Artmuseum, Borås Sculpture Biennal and Turku Biennal. Her animations has been shown in several festivals worldwide. Between 2008-2015 Lovell realized five commisioned/public artworks, for example ‘Flora and Fauna’ in Solursgaraget, Vällingby. She received grants from e.g. Art council of Sweden, Art academy of Sweden, Maria Bonnier-Dahlin and Bernadotte art award. Work by Lovell is present in several official and private collections.
