SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) is a markup language for describing two-dimensional graphics and images, and is a widely-deployed royalty-free vector graphics format developed and maintained by the W3C SVG Working Group. Image files saved as .svg can be created and edited with any text editor, but drawing programs like Adobe Illustrator are also available for SVG file formats.
